I have known Emily and Chase for a number of years, and when they told me that they wanted me to capture their engagement and wedding photos, I couldn’t have been happier. Emily grew up as one of my little sister’s best friends; and I had the privilege of watching her grow up, become a middle school teacher, and go on to fall in love with one of my dear friends, Chase.

Emily and Chase are the epitome of sweet and tender love. The two of them are just the sweetest, and anyone that meets them can instantly feel the love they share. Chase proposed to Emily on horseback, on the beaches of San Diego as the sun set. For anyone that knows Emily, they know that there couldn’t have been a better proposal for her.

Emily has spent her entire life traveling to Hawaii every year with her family. She has always felt like she belonged there; Hawaii isn’t just a place to her, its part of who she it. Its part of her soul. When Serendipity Events offered to help bring a little bit of Hawaii to San Diego, in order to make Emily’s engagement dreams come true, we were over the moon excited about it!

Laura and Caitlyn from Serendipity Events created the most incredible lakeside picnic at Paradise Point Resort in San Diego, and then we finished the evening at South Mission Beach complete with a lace teepee, and sunset kisses in the ocean. Being that Kauai is Emily’s favorite island, the outline is incorporated into the intricate details of the day.

If this is any indication on the beauty that will be their wedding day, I can’t WAIT to be the one to capture it!
