Bridal Boudoir Session in the Trees
Boudoir sessions are such an amazing and personal experience. I am always so honored to be trusted with taking them, as not only are you baring all, but you are trusting your photographer to make you look and feel your absolute best!
I was SO excited for this particular shoot, because this bride wanted to take her boudoir session out of the ever so ordinary hotel room, and in to NATURE!! I have to admit I was a little worried at first… lingerie? In… the weeds?! But let me tell you what, I LOVE OUTDOOR BOUDOIR PHOTOS. The light, the trees, the golden rolling hills; it was so stunning out there, and it suddenly made regular boudoir sessions seem… unnatural.
I am not even sure how to describe the magic that happened out there. The bride (who asked for privacy sake to remain nameless) was absolutely glowing, and effortless in every movement. Every shot we took was better than the last, and the visions of queen sized beds and starched sheets were swiftly replaced with filtered light, and a homemade quilt gently laid on a bed of golden grass.
I mean come ON… isn’t she GORGEOUS?!?! I am lucky enough to call this woman a dear friend, and let me tell you something: she is just as beautiful on the inside. Watching her confidence grow with every click, and seeing her inner beauty shine through on every shot, made this photoshoot that much more amazing.
Anytime I shoot a boudoir session for a bride, I always ask them to add a little something extra for the hubby to be! In this case, the Bride’s Fiancé is a hunter and so we thought, wearing his hunting jacket would be the perfect surprise!
If you are reading this right now, and have considered doing boudoir photography before, I urge you to give it a shot!
Coming from a photographer who shoots boudoir sessions, but who has also done a boudoir session of my own, let me tell you this: Boudoir photography is for ALL WOMEN. There is no “my body is not ready” or “I would feel so uncomfortable”, no. These pictures are for celebrating your beauty, and everything that makes you unique, confident, and sexy. When I did mine, I was scared. I had parts of me that I wasn’t exactly proud of, and after leaving my session, I walked out feeling empowered, beautiful, and perfect just the way I was. I was surprised at how proud I was of my pictures, and it gave me a whole new appreciation of myself. That feeling is something that I strive to give every woman who I have the privilege to photograph. EVERY SINGLE ONE of you are beautiful… its just my job to capture it on film!
Your photos are fantastic! You should think of doing a video advertisement!
As I read this today I kept thinking of how you would come across in person…adding your own personal vitality and enthusiasm and BEAUTY!

Lovely photos! Making a woman feel confident in her own skin is a very rare gift. As women we are powerful and beautiful. Having someone help us remember that is a great thing.
